Ball
Game Length
Players 
- 
	6v6 (5 field players and 1
	goalkeeper) 
- 
	Game may not start or
	continue if there are less than 4 players on a team. If a team is
	short of players the coach can play with fewer than the regulation
	number of players. The coach can keep one player in reserve as a
	sub; the opposing team has to play down to the number of players
	available for the
	game, not the number of players on the field.
	Teams
	may
	borrow players from the opponent to play at full strength 
- 
	Players will play at least
	50% of the game 
- 
	Substitutions are unlimited
	and can occur at any time, even when the ball is in play 
	 
- 
	Teams may be coed 
Players’ Equipment 
- 
	Jersey, black shorts, socks,
	shin guards and cleats or tennis shoes 
- 
	Shin guards must be
	completely covered by the stockings 
- 
	No jewelry of any kind. 
	 
- 
	No casts or hard splints 
Referees
- 
	One referee 
- 
	If no referee is available,
	select a responsible adult to manage the game, keep time, and player
	safety. Remember it’s about FUN! 
Game Play
- 
	Goals may not be scored
	directly from a kick off or goal kick 
- 
	Penalty kicks will be taken
	from a spot 12 yards from the goal line and may be taken by any
	player in the game 
- 
	Goalies may not advance the
	ball past the half-line from a kick of throw from inside the penalty
	area. Any ball played over the half-line without a touch will be
	restarted an an indirect free kick for the opposing team. On a live
	ball, goalies may dribble out of the penalty area and pass or shoot
	across the half line.
