YSYSL Preseason Seeding Matches

Matches will be one-half of a normal game; U10 will be 25 minutes, U12 will be 30 minutes. There will not be any stoppage or changing of ends during the matches, except for hydration breaks as determined by the referee. If there is a stoppage for hydration, injury or other, there will not be any time added on. Referees will be instructed to start the clock at the scheduled game start time. Referees will check in players for safety before the first of the 2 matches, but referees will enforce YSYSL and US Soccer safety rules. Play will follow all YSYSL and US Soccer modifications for small-sided games.

All teams in seeding matches will be listed twice. The team listed first will be the home team, wear blue and generally stay on the same field. Teams listed second will be the away team, wear gray and change fields and opponents. Please do this as quickly as possible so the day may stay on time.

While these matches are used as a part of seeding in divisions, it is not the only criteria we use. See your Area Manager for more information.
